Main Plot

I Am Number Four follows a teenage alien named John Smith, who is one of nine survivors from a distant planet called Lorien. After escaping an invasion by a rival alien race known as the Mogadorians, John is on the run, moving from town to town to evade capture. He assumes a new identity and tries to blend in at a high school in Ohio, where he begins to experience typical teenage life, including friendship and romance.
